First Notice and Call for Papers

The International Conference on Geoinformatics is the premier research forum for Geospatial Information Research. It commenced in 1992 in Buffalo, and has been held every year since. Meetings have been held in Beijing (x2), Calgary, Hong Kong, West Palm Beach, Taipei, Ann Arbor, Monterey, Bangkok, Nanjing, and Toronto. This premier event of 2004 is being organized by the University of Gävle, together with the International Association of Chinese Professionals in Geographic Information Science. This conference is the first one of the series that will take place in Europe. We hope it offers an opportunity for all professionals involved in research and development of GIS, GPS and RS to discuss new theories and technologies around Geospatial Information Research.

We invite submissions that address both theoretical and technical issues of advanced geoinformatics. Suggested topics include, but not limited to as long as they address issue related to geoinformatics:

Long abstracts with 500-1000 words are welcome (see instructions to be available at the conference website). The selected submission will be asked for full paper to be included in the proceedings published with official ISBN number. A selection of the best papers will be recommended for publication in special issues of scientific journals.
