Measuring Spatio-Temporal Accessibility with ArcGIS
Thursday, September 28, 2017, 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM CDT
Category: Webinars

Modeling spatio-temporal accessibility is an area of great interest for users and scholars of GIS. In this webinar we will demonstrate how to implement several Time-Geography concepts with Esri’s ArcMap. We will produce raster maps of Potential Path Areas, given spatio-temporal constraints of individuals. We will calculate the times at which specific urban amenities can be used, given spatio-temporal constraints of individuals and opening hours of facilities, and we will calculate statistics on the accessibility of these amenities. The Toolbox to implement these tools can be found here, and webinar viewers are encouraged to download, install, and experiment ahead of time. Questions or comments may be posed during this session. Additional background information may be found at in these articles in Transactions in GIS and International Journal of Geographic Information Science
