Volunteers Draft
White Papers for Short-term Research Challenges
by John Wilson
Nineteen short-term research challenges
were identified at the Summer Assembly 2002 in Athens, Georgia. These
are challenges that may be emphasized in the next five years.
A two-page white paper on each
challenge will be presented at the Winter Meeting in February. These
glossy format challenge descriptions will be available for the
Congressional briefing. Following the meeting, a vote on the challenges
will be taken to determine which continue as UCGIS priorities.
Many UCGIS delegates have volunteered
to draft the white papers. Contact them if you wish to contribute.
