The Geomedia Award sponsored by Intergraph

The UCGIS Research Projects Committee is pleased to announce Professor Tarek Rashed at University of Oklahoma as the recipient of the Geomedia award sponsored by Intergraph. Professor Rashed proposed to study “Delivering the Architectural Heritage of Luxor City, Egypt through the Virtual Reality, Internet Mapping, and Geovisualization Techniques”. The award includes $5000 and software valued at $50,000.

UCGIS will hold its Annual Assembly on 20-23 October, 2004 in conjunction with the Third International Conference on Geographic Information Science (GIScience 2004) at the University of Maryland Conference Center in College Park, Maryland. Researchers and students from UCGIS member institutions across the US in various disciplines will participate in this event.
