Support Top Graduate Students
With a Tax Deductible Contribution

As 2006 draws to a close, the UCGIS officers and board urge everyone in the broader GIS community to consider making a tax deductible contribution to support the annual UCGIS Graduate Student Paper Competition. Students whose papers are accepted for presentation at the UCGIS Summer Assembly receive $800 awards to help make it possible for them to participate. Deductible contributions make this program possible.

As a tax exempt nonprofit organization, UCGIS can receive contributions that are deductible from income by taxpayers who itemize on their tax forms. For all contributions, a receipt will be issued, stating the amount of the contribution, stipulating that nothing of value was received in return for the contribution, and documenting that UCGIS has been classified by the IRS as a Section 501(c)(3) organization. Such organizations may receive deductible contributions.

Last summer eighteen graduate students received awards and made oral presentations of their research on a wide variety of topics at the UCGIS Summer Assembly. Before the tax year ends on December 31, please consider supporting this important recognition program that promotes our profession and encourages our top students.

Contribute on-line using our state-of-the-art secure server. Making an on-line contribution is a safe, quick, and easy way to donate to UCGIS. To complete the online donation form for payment using your credit card click here.  Please have ready your billing name, address, email address, and credit card number and expiration date.

If you prefer to make a contribution offline, print and mail this form with your check to: UCGIS, PO Box 15079, Alexandria, VA 22309.
