“Planning for the UCGIS Winter (February 2006) meeting in Washington, DC is underway. The meeting will be held from Wednesday February 8 – Friday February 10, 2006. The theme for the meeting is “GIScience and the Common Good: Public Spatial Information and society's framework of democratic deliberation, access and accountability.” The details of the schedule are still being worked out. All are encouraged to participate.”

hopes to hold the June Assembly in collaboration with Auto-Carto 6. Suggestions

UCGIS Regional Meeting
“Rutgers' Center for Remote Sensing and Spatial Analysis will host the first ever UCGIS Regional Meeting on Wednesday, October 5th 4-8pm. The meeting will feature a lecture by Penn State's Mark Gahegan on GIS and Visualization. The meeting will provide an opportunity for area GI Scientists to exchange information about their research and institutions.
