The GIS&T Body of Knowledge (BoK) is a community effort to define the
subject matter that pertains uniquely to the field of Geographic
Information Science and Technology. UCGIS published the 1st edition of
the GIS&T BoK in 2006, in collaboration with the Association of American
Geographers (see
http://www.aag.org/cs/aag_bookstore
). This discussion forum is for practitioners, educators, and
researchers who wish to comment on the 1st edition, and to offer
recommendations for a forthcoming 2nd edition.
