Scholars Awards
Five Young Faculty Receive
UCGIS Young Scholars Award
Five faculty members have been
selected to receive the Young Scholars Award for 2002. The Young
Scholars Award, funded jointly by ESRI and Intergraph, provides funding
for faculty who have been at UCGIS member universities less than five
years to attend the UCGIS summer assembly. Based on a competition where
the applicants were evaluated by the Sponsored Programs Committee, on
financial need, reasons for wishing to attend the current summer
assembly, and a short CV this year's awardees are:
