The 2008 UCGIS Summer Assembly will be held
June 23 & 24 at the Hubert Humphrey Institute in Minneapolis, on
the campus of the University of Minnesota.
The schedule this year will feature presentations on health and
demographic issues, accreditation and certification, GIScience
teaching from a computational perspective, and ethics in GIS
research. In addition, there will be research sessions with
outstanding new faculty and graduate students.

the campus. Reservations should be made through their toll-free

rate of $119, single or double.”
The opening session of the Assembly will begin
at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, June 23 and the final session will
conclude at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 24.
Registration fees ( Member: $350 & Non-members $395 ) includes
breakfast and lunch on June 23 and June 24.
