Piotr
Jankowski received Ph.D. in Geography from the University of Washington in 1989
and M.Phil. in Econometrics and Operations Research from Poznan University of
Economics in 1979. He is currently a professor of Geography at San Diego State
University. Before joining San Diego State University he held faculty
appointments in Geography at the University of Idaho and in Geoinformatics at
the University of Muenster. His research and teaching areas include GIS,
multiple criteria decision methods, and collaborative spatial decision support
systems. He is the author and co-author of over 60 publications, a book, and
several book chapters on topics of GIS, SDSS, and public-participation GIS. He
is also a member of the editorial boards of the Journal of Geographical Systems
and Transactions in GIS. During 1999 - 2001 he was the delegate of the
University of Idaho to USGIS.
