• Compass is a non-profit organization whose mission is to help more scientists engage more effectively and frequently in the public discourse, especially around issues of the environment. Their Message Box Workbook helps distill and refine messages that too often are obscured and misdirected when audiences and communication styles aren't aligned. Michigan State University includes the Message Box Workbook in its Communications Toolkit for Academics, a site that spans both the fundamentals and more sophisticated ideas.
