What to do near College Park
Located just outside Washington, DC, the University of Maryland campus offers a unique opportunity for visitors to experience Washington, DC, the Capital of the United States, and it’s amazing landscape of national monuments, famous museums, performing arts centers, and a broad array of federal agencies and other government and non-government organizations. College Park is connected to DC via public transit, including the Washington DC metro system (WMATA), where there are 2 stops at College Park-UMD (approximately 1 mile from campus) and Greenbelt respectively, both on the Green Line. June is a beautiful time to come to College Park, as our temperatures average around 80℉/27℃ at that time of year and it is typically sunny and warm throughout the month of June.
